Claire Burrows
Massage Therapist
My journey into massage began when I experienced first hand how it helped me recover following injuries sustained not just from sporting activities but from life in general. This inspired me to learn more and dedicate my career to helping others find relief by enhancing recovery, preventing injuries and overall supporting long-term health and performance, whilst tailoring treatment to individual’s needs. Feedback is very important to me to ensure that clients are getting the best possible outcomes.
Although I am interested in massage for all ages and fitness levels, I also have a particular interest in menopause and peri-menopausal symptoms. Studies have shown that deep tissue massage is effective for those ladies suffering the effects by promoting better sleep, relaxation of tight or sore muscles, relieving headaches caused by tension in the neck and shoulders and improving circulation, to name a few.
My latest continued professional development has included completing a dry cupping course and this is now part of my treatment portfolio.
Outside of work I like to keep active and whilst I may not be playing hockey or road/trail running any more, I still enjoy regular strength training and walking. However, this is a necessity as my other passion is all things food! I love cooking and baking and anything that results in something yummy to share with friends and family.
